The ACT! v16 Roadshow presented by Twelve/Three is back!

Out with the old, in with the new! ACT v16 is en route for its Fall debut. Come get a first look at the Beta with this year’s ACT Roadshow! The naming of ACT v16 is equivalent to ‘ACT 2014’, but a new naming cycle was implemented.

Following the success of previous years’ Roadshows, Twelve/Three will once again be hosting a free first-look event for our clients.

On March 20, 2013, Swiftpage purchased ACT and Saleslogix from Sage Software. Geoff Boulden of Twelve/Three met the new owners of ACT at a conference in Scottsdale, AZ the weekend of May 2-5^th. Here is his report.

 

The newest version of the best CRM software is coming!

In March 2013, Swiftpage purchased ownership of ACT! software from Sage.  They are making a return to the old naming system, by dropping the Sage name and calling this year’s release v16 instead of 2014.

What’s new in act! v16?

There is no official release date on the books yet, but we project that it will hit shelves sometime in the Fall- most likely September.  Twelve/Three got the opportunity to use the pre-market alpha release, and so far it looks great. We also haven’t gotten word of all the details, but here’s a look at some of the key points expected to be included! Please remember that these are not yet officially confirmed and are subject to change.

This release seems to focus more heavily on ACT for Web and mobile solutions. Which, might we add, is far more valuable in today’s world where you can’t always have a laptop or desktop to check your CRM.

• Mobile Groups and Companies
  • ACT! for Web will now have access to groups and companies
  • Easily send new email blasts to everyone in a group from your phone
  • Runs more smoothly, some better interface changes
• Mobile Email
  • New option to record email from mobile to ACT! history
  • Avoid duplicate message entry
• Tablet
  • Better interface when using ACT for Web
  • Rotating the tablet to landscape view opens up a new left navigation panel.
• Calculated Fields
  • New custom field type which will self-update and recalculate!
  • Examples: Commission, age, days until event, etc.
• Automated Company Management
  • Promising new feature to help keep your database organized! As you add new contacts, you don’t need to always link them to a company. With this feature, once a specified threshold is met, company is created with just the company name and all contacts linked.
  • If a company already exists, contacts will be auto-linked to that company.
• History List
  • The layout appears similar to the “Task List” in ACT!. A listed viewing of all consolidated histories for all records.
  • Sort by date, contact, type, etc.
  • View histories for all users, yourself, or only selected users
  • Export to Excel, Filter out by criteria or by manual methods, generate excel reports and find data
  • Easily review all users’ recent actions in the database for the time frame.
• Scheduled Email
  • Smart Tasks and scheduler can now send out an email based on time, date, or custom database task
• Reschedule Multiple Activities
  • Select multiple activities and perform bulk changes
  • You can now quickly take all of your activities or alerts in ACT! and push them to the future
• Create Lookup from Universal Search
  • The fast universal search feature can now export its results to lookups, groups
• Web Manage fields/Design
• Google Chrome Support
  • Over 70 bugs and compatibility issues fixed in Chrome browser when using ACT for Web
